After the return of Laurent Gbagbo and several opposition figures in Ivory Coast, pending that of Charles Blé Goudé, national reconciliation seems to be on track, except for Guillaume Soro, still in exile in Europe.

The former president of the National Assembly, sentenced to life imprisonment last month for attempting to undermine state security, denounces on social networks a "

capture of the state

" by the power in place, but it seems increasingly isolated on the Ivorian political scene.

After his life sentence for conspiring and attempting to undermine state security, and the dissolution of his Générations et Peuples solidaires movement, Guillaume Soro continues to be combative by appealing this decision and urging his supporters to continue the fight.

Yet Alain Lobognon, one of his oldest collaborators, is less offensive towards the Head of State.

Lobognon was also sentenced on June 23, but left free after having served the

18 months imprisonment corresponding to his sentence

.

The former member of Fresco almost immediately announced his commitment to warming relations between the two ex-allies, in the name of national reconciliation.

Through the voice of his spokesperson, Alain Lobognon specifies that this call for dialogue is fully supported by Guillaume Soro.

What denied a few hours later Moussa Touré, communication director of the former rebel leader.

He assures us that the exile only learned of this declaration after its publication, and that he took good note of it.

Joined by RFI, Moussa Touré affirms that Alain Lobognon's initiative is personal and recalls that other figures of the Soroist galaxy, such as Kanigui Soro and Meïte Sindou, had also extended a hand to the Head of State, before join his RHDP party.

Enough to question Guillaume Soro's spokesperson on the merits of this call for dialogue.
