China News Service, Beijing, July 5th (Chen Jing) To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the Beijing University Red Building Protection and Repair Project was implemented by China State Construction Engineering Corporation.

According to China Construction, according to the group’s deployment, China Construction Eighth Engineering Bureau quickly transferred management personnel with strong political, strong ability, and strong business skills to organize technical experts in mechanical and electrical installation, decoration and fitment, and formed a project team of 50 people. From 2020 Enter the site on September 29 and complete all the reinforcement and repair work in just 70 days.

China State Construction Electronics, a subsidiary of the group, has also mobilized key personnel with strong deepening design capabilities and on-site coordination capabilities, and will enter the site from February 4, 2021 to carry out a comprehensive renovation of the building security system of the Peking University Red Building. The scheduled construction period is only 40 days.

It is reported that the project team conducted in-depth research on the Red Building at Peking University, and compared the practices of previous repair projects, especially focusing on the opinions of cultural relics experts who participated in the repair projects from 1961 to 1962.

Before the repairs, the Peking University Red House also underwent a comprehensive and systematic health check.

Professionals have carried out special inspections on the stability and safety of foundations, walls, and wooden roof trusses to find out as much as possible about the preservation status and safety hazards of the building.

The design unit, cultural relic experts and project team participated in the whole process together. During the entire construction period, a number of expert meetings and demonstration meetings were held. On the basis of repeated demonstrations and comparative tests, the repaired parts were constructed in an orderly manner in accordance with the original techniques and practices. Keep historical information as much as possible.

Participants in the repair said that when repairing the joints of the red building's floor and surrounding wall masonry, in order to repair the old as before, in contrast to the traditional craftsmanship, the project team adopted a 7: 2: 1 ratio of mixed slaked lime, Sand and loess are used to seal the cracks on the floor, brick powder and white latex are used to repair the cracks on the brick surface, and white ash and medium sand mixed mortar are used to hook and plaster the cracks in the brick joints.

When repairing the brick column, the texture of the surface of the brick column is made according to the current shape to ensure that the repaired brick column is in harmony with the surrounding color and does not have a sense of abruptness.

The project team also invited experts in the restoration of cultural relics to conduct a panel discussion to ensure that the hue of the repainted eaves is basically the same as the interior hue of the Peking University Red Building.

Compared with the restoration of the exterior of the building, the greater challenge lies in the inheritance of the red culture.

In order to make the restored Peking University Red Building "both physical and spiritual", the project team deeply studied the glorious history carried by the Peking University Red Building, the revolutionary spirit contained in it, and the value of the times, and continuously enhanced the understanding of the importance of the protection of the old site.

The Red Mansion has been "advanced" for a hundred years, and there are many internal cultural relics. "Insistence on minimal intervention and careful organization and implementation" is an important requirement for the restoration of the Red Mansion.

For this, the project team put out a meticulous effort of "embroidery".

The project team stated that before entering the site, the construction protection plan was refined for different parts of the building.

According to the general idea of “renovation and partial reinforcement of the current situation”, in addition to the replacement or reinforcement of the wooden structures with potential safety hazards such as cracking and decay, the slightly weathered and weakly weathered walls on the surface are not substitutes and replacements, but Only the surface of the sulfonate is sealed to delay the development of the disease.

According to the status of the brick columns, the project personnel only repaired the damaged parts of the brick columns on the east, north, and west sides of the red building foyer; re-painted the surface layer according to the shape of the north side of the south foyer, and used the stone technology to protect the top, granite stone base and stone fence , In order to delay weathering.

Combined with the roof inspection, to ensure that the red building can withstand the test of wind and rain in the future, the project team will manage, wipe, and reinforce the waterproofing of the red building in 2017, and clean up the debris in the eaves drainage ditch; the waterproof roll that has cracked and warped on the outer edge of the eaves drainage ditch Finishing and bonding the materials; waterproof the dormer windows with waterproof paint.

In addition, modern technology has also played an important role in escorting this century-old building.

The project team deeply integrated the restoration of historical buildings with advanced science and technology, and through actual measurement and measurement, reversely built a digital model of the red building that was highly restored, and integrated the architecture, electromechanics, and decoration of the entire red building.

Using modern scientific and technological information technology, the project information of this protection and repair is completely and accurately recorded, which provides a reference for the future repair work of the Red Mansion.

Due to the long time it was built, the original security system of the Peking University Red Building could not achieve "full coverage."

In order to better protect the cultural relics in the museum, the China State Construction Electronics project team "tailored" a comprehensive security management platform for it to realize the unified management and linkage of multiple systems such as video surveillance, alarm, access control, and intercom.

Hundreds of monitoring points and alarm trigger points are scattered throughout the building inside and outside, creating a safe cultural relic display environment.

Behind the "all-round escort" is the unremitting efforts and ingenuity of the project team.

"Beida Red House is one of the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units. During the construction process, no new holes should be made in the wooden wall. You can only work along the original holes. The maximum hole diameter is only 2 cm, which greatly increases the pipe penetration. The difficulty of wiring." said Zhang Xiaotong, project manager of China State Construction Electronics.

He led the project staff to walk around every corner of the building in 3 days, carefully check the drawing information, and noted more than 300 end points one by one to ensure that each cable was routed accurately.

China State Construction Group completed the construction tasks with high quality as scheduled, ensured the smooth development of the follow-up exhibition work, and continued to take on the maintenance tasks. Recently, the carefully repaired Peking University Red Building was reopened to the public, and the theme exhibition "The Red Prologue of the Glorious Achievement-Peking University Red Building and the Early Beijing Revolution Activities of the Communist Party of China" was also unveiled on the same day.
