Update travel procedures for citizens and residents of Abu Dhabi

The Committee for the Management of Emergencies, Crises and Disasters caused by the Corona pandemic in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi announced the update of travel procedures for citizens and residents of the emirate coming from outside the country, and they will start working from Monday, July 5, 2021.

Restaurants coming from the green list destinations are required to perform a nasal swab examination (PCR) upon arrival and an additional examination on the sixth day, without the need for quarantine. As for restaurants coming from other destinations, they must perform a nasal swab examination (PCR) upon arrival and quarantine. For 7 days, with an additional nasal swab (PCR) examination on the sixth day.

The protocol applies to vaccinated citizens and residents in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi who have completed 28 days or more since receiving the second dose of the vaccine, and which is proven in the vaccination report from the Al-Hosn application.

As for the travel procedures for citizens and residents of the emirate who are not vaccinated, those coming from the green list destinations are required to perform a nasal swab examination (PCR) upon arrival without the need for quarantine, in addition to an additional nasal swab examination (PCR) on the sixth day and on the second day ten.

While non-vaccinated citizens and residents coming from other destinations must perform a nasal swab examination (PCR) upon arrival and quarantine for a period of 12 days, with another nasal swab examination (PCR) on the eleventh day.
