In the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly election on the 4th, the Liberal Democratic Party became the first party in the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly, but the number of seats was the second lowest in the past, and it did not reach the target majority of both the Liberal Democratic Party and the Komeito Party.

On the other hand, Tomin First no Kai reduced the number of seats and became the second party by two seats from the Liberal Democratic Party.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly election was voted and 127 seats in 42 constituencies were confirmed.

Before the election, Tomin First no Kai, which had 45 seats and was the first party, reduced 14 seats to 31 seats.

This is because in Hachioji City, where two people were held, both were defeated, and in the constituency where two people were elected in the previous election, there were a number of cases where only one seat was held this time.

On the other hand, although the Liberal Democratic Party, which had 25 seats before the election, increased the number of seats, it only acquired 33 seats, the second smallest number of seats in the past, and became the first party of the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly, but it was the goal of the Liberal Democratic Party It did not reach the majority of both parties.

In the constituencies of Shinagawa Ward and Meguro Ward, where two people were held, none of the seats could be won, and in Ota Ward, two out of three people lost the election.

The Komeito, which cooperated with the Liberal Democratic Party in the election, was elected by all 23 candidates, and since the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly election in 1993, all have been elected eight times in a row.

The Communist Party also secured 19 seats, an increase of one from the 18 seats before the election.

In addition, the Constitutional Democratic Party, which had eight seats before the election, has increased to 15 seats.

Both the Nippon Ishin no Kai and the Tokyo Seikatsusha Network have won the same seats as before the election.

41 female candidates won, the highest number ever

The number of female candidates elected in the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly election was 41, an increase of 5 more than the previous election, which was the highest number four years ago, and reached a record high.

Approximately one-third of the constant 127 is a female member of parliament.
