The situation continues to deteriorate in Russia, with the country's two leading cities, Moscow and Saint Petersburg, at the heart of the epidemic.

Two weeks ago, the authorities of the two cities warned that their hospitals were close to saturation.

But anxious to organize its Euro football matches to the end, Saint Petersburg has chosen not to act.

We now know that this stadium which hosted more than 30,000 people at each match, the fan zone and the many bars and nightclubs in the city are the source of hundreds if not thousands of new contaminations.

The country's second city today has the highest death rate in Russia.

new restrictions

were put in place a week ago.

It is no longer possible to enter bars and restaurants without a QR code, notably obtained by proof of vaccination.

One way to push the Russians, little vaccinated, to adopt Sputnik V, the local vaccine.

Others have no choice, in

public services

or some service companies, unvaccinated employees now risk dismissal.

As a result, the vaccination centers are full, but we will certainly have to wait several more weeks before this policy takes effect.
