Abu Dhabi Health Authority cooperates with Clalit in “Digital Health”

Yesterday, the Abu Dhabi Department of Health signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Comprehensive Health Services (Clalit), the largest healthcare provider in Israel and the second largest healthcare provider in the world.

The memorandum aims to pave the way for more cooperation between the two countries in the health sector, enhance joint work, and exchange experiences in health care.

The memorandum is the basis for close cooperation in a number of areas, notably digital health, the visiting physician program, continuing medical education, international patient referrals and research and clinical pathways.

The agreement was signed, in the presence of Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Hamed, head of the department, by the department's deputy, Dr. Jamal Muhammad Al-Kaabi, the executive director of the Clalit Patient Fund, Ohad Dodson, the Israeli ambassador to the UAE, Eitan Naeh, and the CEO of the National Health Insurance Company (Daman). He added that Abu Dhabi has established itself as a preferred destination for emerging companies and pioneers in innovation in the field of technology, innovation and life sciences, by providing an attractive environment for international and emerging investors and those interested in the future of health, by hosting one of the largest genome programs ever, and one of the most comprehensive platforms for exchanging health information on the world. world level.”

He stressed that "digital health and genomics are essential elements in efforts to improve any health system, which we highlight through establishing partnerships and launching programs and initiatives that employ artificial intelligence and modern technology to continue improving the sector's outputs and capabilities."

The Executive Director of the Clalit Health Fund, Ohad Dodson, said that the goal of the agreement, which is unique, is to preserve the health of the community and the safety of its members.

He added, "Since the signing of the peace treaty between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, we have started conducting dialogues focused on cooperation in the field of health care, as the agreement will open up prospects for cooperation in the field of research and digital health, and will enable us to transfer our experience in leveraging big data to support research and innovation."

The meeting also witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding by Daman with Clalit to enhance cooperation in many fields, the most important of which are preventive medicine, risk management, early diagnosis, management of chronic diseases, genetic diagnostic platforms, and a focus on future innovations.

Hamad Abdullah Al-Mehyas stressed that "the signing of the memorandum is in line with our goals aimed at continuing to strengthen our regional and global partnerships in various aspects, to expand the coverage of our subscribers outside the country, to learn about the best professional and operational practices, and to exchange global experiences."

Al Mahyas added: “We are proud to sign the memorandum with Clalit Healthcare, as it is one of the most prestigious health institutions in the region, and it comes within our commitment to open areas of cooperation with institutions with a common vision, in line with the aspirations of customers and the health sector in the emirate.”

Clalit is the largest group of health facilities and one of the most advanced medical institutions in Israel, providing medical services to more than four million patients annually.
