Lee Nak-yeon, former president of the Democratic Party of Korea, and former Prime Minister Chung Sye-kyun met today (3rd) and announced that they had decided to work together to create the 4th Democratic Party government.

The camp of former President Lee and former Prime Minister Jeong revealed that the two candidates had luncheons and meetings at a restaurant in Yeouido-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.

At the meeting, he said, "We agreed to work together for the success of the Moon Jae-in administration in 10 months and the birth of the fourth democratic government that will succeed and develop the Kim Dae-jung, Roh, and Moon Jae-in administrations. We need to focus on verifying the candidate's policy, identity, and morality," he said.

However, both camps drew a line to interpret this meeting as unification or 'consolidation of anti-Lee Jae-myung solidarity'.

After the meeting, Rep. Yoon Young-chan from Lee Nak-yeon's side and former Prime Minister Jeong Se-kyun's representative Kim Min-seok met with reporters at the National Assembly and said, "The issue of unification of candidates has never been discussed," and reserved the possibility of unification.
