Actress Yoon Yeo-jeong, who won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the movie 'Minari', has been offered a new member of the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), the most prestigious group in the film industry.

The American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which hosts the Academy Awards, announced on the 1st (local time) the list of invitees for new members.

A total of 395 new member invitees this year, announced by the Academy, were invited, and Yeo-jeong Yoon was invited as a new member in the acting category.

If Yeojeong Yoon accepts the Academy's invitation, she will be able to exercise her voting rights for the Academy Award as a full member in the future.

In addition, Korean actor Stephen Yeun, who starred in 'Minari,' and director Lee Isaac-jung (Korean name, Isak Jeong), who directed 'Minari,' were also on the list of invitees for new members.

Last year, the academy invited a large number of cast members and staff from 'Parasite', which won four Oscars, as new members.
