Recently, the Taal Volcano, located in the southern part of Manila, the capital of the Philippines, experienced continuous steam eruptions, causing about 1,400 residents to evacuate.

  On the afternoon of July 1, local time, the black vapor erupted from Taal Volcano reached a height of one kilometer.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology raised the alert level of Taal Volcano eruption to level 3 on the same day, which means that the volcano "may erupt within a few weeks or days."

  Taal Volcano, located in Batangas Province, Luzon Island, is one of the most active volcanoes among the more than 20 known active volcanoes in the Philippines.

In January 2020, Taal volcano spewed a large amount of volcanic ash, affecting the lives of hundreds of thousands of people in many surrounding provinces, causing hundreds of millions of dollars in economic losses.
