More than 70,000 people gathered in Tiananmen Square, not all wearing masks.

President Xi Jinping, the only leader of the leadership to appear in a national costume, has declared that the era of bullying in China is over.

Aiming at the US and other Western countries to contain China, he said that if external forces harass China, they would bleed.

[Xi Jinping/President of China: We will not tolerate bullying by outside forces. If anyone had such a delusion, his head would be broken and he would bleed.]

Xi also emphasized that the CCP wrote the most magnificent epic in Chinese history, and that 100 years of great achievements will be recorded in history.

Previously, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has highlighted participation in the Korean War and overcoming the coronavirus as major achievements.

On the other hand, the mood in Hong Kong today, which also marks the 24th anniversary of the return of Hong Kong sovereignty from Britain to China, was quite different.

Hong Kong authorities have banned rallies to commemorate the return of sovereignty, and have deployed 10,000 police officers across the country.

Over 110 people have been arrested in Hong Kong in the past year since the enforcement of the Hong Kong Security Law.
