He added that this allows citizens of the country in which such legislation has been adopted to have full protection for their accounts.

"To have clear and transparent relationships with these IT giants in the commercialization of their accounts, many users use accounts for doing business," the parliamentarian concluded.

Earlier, Putin signed a law according to which large foreign IT companies will be required to open branches or representative offices in Russia.
