Tsekov noted that Western countries are once again trying to accuse Russia, but again they use phrases such as "almost certainly", "quite possibly", without giving any evidence.

The senator noted that there were proposals on the part of Russia to develop a joint security system in the cybersphere, to which there was no reaction.

“They should talk about this.

They once again decided to shift the blame onto Russia.

At the same time, there are no concrete steps and actions to conclude an agreement, ”he stressed.

The parliamentarian also called the accusations contained in the report "unfounded".

Earlier, the American and British intelligence agencies published a joint report, which claims that the Russian GRU was allegedly involved in hacker attacks on hundreds of government and private structures around the world.

The report also argues that cyberattacks "almost certainly continue to this day."

In June, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said that Moscow had sent Washington over 40 appeals related to cyberattacks on state structures and systems of Russia, but there was no response from the United States.

Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council Oleg Khramov in an interview with RIA Novosti announced Russia's readiness to sign agreements on cooperation in the field of cybersecurity with several countries.

The Kremlin emphasized that Moscow was not involved in cyber attacks on American facilities, and the accusations against it were unfounded and caused by Russophobia.
