“The Russian tricolor has fluttered over the State Duma and will continue to flutter,” Peskov said in an interview with Channel One.

So he commented on the words of Zelensky, who refused to consider Ukrainians and Russians as one people and said that in this case, the State Duma would most likely "fly a yellow-blue flag."

He also disagreed with Zelenskiy's words that Russians and Ukrainians have "a common part of history." 

According to Peskov, Russians and Ukrainians are one people and have a common history.

On the eve of the Russian leader Vladimir Putin in a direct line said that Ukrainians and Russians are one people. He expressed the opinion that the Russian people have always tried to divide and split, and the current leadership of Ukraine is clearly unfriendly towards Russia.
