It was on June 24 that the Dutch ship, on its way from Bollstabruk with wood products, got a fault in the engine in the Ångermanälven river.

- The ship went with 11 knots when they got a fault in the engine and thus also problems with the power supply and reduced rudder function, says Joakim Lindström at the Swedish Transport Agency.

Instead of the intended destination Morocco, the 130-meter-long ship ended up on a sandy beach south of the Sandö Bridge.

No leaks occurred and soon the ship could be pulled off the shore and towed to Härnösand harbor.

Several inspections

Koningsborg has remained there for several days for repairs.

The ship has also been inspected by divers to check the hull.

Representatives from the ship's classification society are on site to check the ship and issue the certificates needed to leave the port.

According to the Swedish Transport Agency's ship inspector Ingela Turner, the ship will probably get the green light to leave Härnösand on Thursday afternoon.
