Connecting traffic and vehicle services in Abu Dhabi with payment of Darb gates fees

The Integrated Transport Center of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, in coordination with the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police, announced the activation of traffic tariff restrictions for vehicles registered in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, which are calculated when crossing the gates of the traffic tariff system "Darb" during peak times, as owners of Abu Dhabi vehicles must pay all fees “Darb” due on the vehicle, which is one of the restrictions on the vehicle, in order to be able to perform any process related to it, such as a transfer service or renewal of the vehicle’s ownership.

In this context, the Integrated Transport Center noted the necessity for owners of vehicles registered in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to pay the traffic tariff fees in the Darb system through one of the available channels represented in the Darb website https://darb.itc.gov.ae or the Darb mobile application Smart, by choosing the service to pay the due fees or providing a balance in the customer’s account and activating the automatic payment feature so that the dues are automatically deducted.

The Center also called on owners of vehicles registered in all emirates of the country to pay the traffic tariff violations resulting from vehicles, such as the violation of not registering the vehicle or the violation of insufficient balance through the Darb smart application or the website, in order to be able to complete the procedures for renewing vehicle ownership, transferring ownership, or making Any other transaction on the vehicle.

The Center urged owners of vehicles not registered in the "Darb" system to create an account in the system and then register their vehicles that pass through the "Darb" gates during the hours of applying the traffic tariff, while Abu Dhabi Police confirmed its interest in strengthening cooperation and coordination with the Integrated Transport Center of the Department Municipalities and Transport, pointing out that they will provide their capabilities and advanced electronic and smart systems to activate traffic tariff restrictions for vehicles registered in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi as part of joint efforts to improve the quality of services provided to the public, enhance their satisfaction and achieve happiness for them.

It urged customers to take advantage of government work mechanisms and the ease and flexibility of digital services provided through smart applications and integrated electronic systems in the emirate, which support the digital transformation process and keep pace with the aspirations of the wise leadership to transform the emirate's cities into smart cities with high efficiency that serve the community.

She drew attention to the keenness to support areas of excellence in service provision, within its strategic systems, and within the framework of the governmental directions of the rational leadership such as the UAE Centennial for the year 2071, the UAE Vision 2021, and the Abu Dhabi Government Vision 2030, and compatibility with the strategy of the Ministry of Interior and state strategies such as the national strategy for quality of life for the year 2031 and global trends .   

She pointed to its continuous achievements, which were positively reflected in the customers' access to services easily and conveniently to enhance the quality of life for the Emirati community, until it became one of the world's leading authorities in the use of smart and integrated technology systems, which qualified Abu Dhabi to be the safest city in the world and proactively build confidence among all Community groups in Abu Dhabi.
