[100th Anniversary of the Communist Party of China] What did the first banner of the Communist Party of China look like?

On the occasion of solemnly celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the "Flag Flying—Precious Historical Materials Exhibition of the Birth of the Party Flag and the Flag" was exhibited at the CPPCC Museum of Literature and History.

The "Flag Fluttering" exhibition comprehensively uses more than 300 pictures, nearly 120 archive objects, and 4 multimedia videos to show the birth process of the party flag, national flag, and military flag in an all-round and multi-angle manner.

In the "Birth of the Party Flag" section, the first banner played by the Communist Party of China-the first division flag of the First Army of the Workers’ and Peasants Revolutionary Army, the flag of the Guji Detachment of the Chinese Yi People’s Red Army and other precious physical exhibits were exhibited; and a large number of archives were adopted. The literature reveals several changes in the style of the party flag from sickle and axe to sickle and hammer; it also presents ten types of party flag designs collected during the Seventh National Congress of the Communist Party of China.

The "Birth of the National Flag" showcases part of the national flag design drafts collected during the preparatory meeting of the New Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

Through various original archives such as meeting records, letters, old newspapers, videos, etc., it described the process of the five-star red flag standing out from the 2,992 design drafts, and demonstrated the unique charm of the CPPCC’s deliberative democracy.

In the "Birth of the Military Flag" section, the evolution of the flag system of the Workers and Peasants Revolutionary Army, the Workers and Peasants Red Army, the Eighth Route Army, and the New Fourth Army was revealed through archive clues, and the origins of the five-star and "August 1" design ideas for the Chinese People's Liberation Army flag were described.
