On June 29, 2021, State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi attended the G20 Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Beijing via video.

Wang Yi said that the members of the G20 should persist in unity and cooperation and exert leadership in the global fight against the epidemic.

All parties should speed up the implementation of the results of the Global Health Summit, respond to the epidemic with a scientific attitude, strengthen cooperation in vaccines, diagnosis and treatment, joint prevention and control, and provide more support to developing countries.

China has so far provided more than 450 million doses of vaccines to nearly 100 countries.

China calls on countries with the ability to avoid export restrictions or excessive hoarding, and make due contributions to eliminating the "immunization gap."
