The body of the girl, who would have turned 16 in a few days, was on the edge of a wood, less than a kilometer from home, in the park of the Abbey of Monteveglio, an area of hills in the Bolognese area, near the border with Modena.
The volunteers who had been looking for the girl for some hours found him yesterday afternoon. In a month she would have turned 16 and the family had been looking for her since Sunday morning, since she had gone away, perhaps for a date with a friend.

Chiara's body had stab wounds in the neck and it seems other injuries. The police were notified of the disappearance of the girl on Sunday afternoon by her parents. The appeals were shared on social media and also relaunched by the mayor of the Municipality of Valsamoggia, Daniele Ruscigno. "A tragedy for the whole family and for the whole community", he wrote after a few hours, when Chiara's lifeless body was found.
