The Christian Democrats' leader Ebba Busch says that "it is good that Ulf Kristersson is given the opportunity to try the support sharply in the chamber for a bourgeois government".

"Now we will continue the talks with other parties to gather support for a change of power," she writes to SVT.

SD: Welcome and expected

SD leader Jimmie Åkesson also welcomes the news.

That Kristersson now receives a probation assignment is "hopefully a first step towards a better Sweden", he writes on Facebook.

"Stefan Löfven has failed miserably in leading the country, that the exploration assignment thus falls on Ulf Kristersson is both welcome and expected," he writes.

Pehrson (L): It is reasonable for Kristersson to be tried

The Liberals' group leader in the Riksdag, Johan Pehrson, tells SVT that it is reasonable for Kristersson to be given the opportunity to form a government.

- Now we start conversations about what this should look like and what basic political issues we should press in such a collaboration.

I do not want to anticipate that discussion, but it is clear that the content is crucial, he says.

MP: Will vote no

The Green Party's two mouthpieces say, as expected, that they will vote no to Ulf Kristersson as prime minister.

"If all parties stand for what they have stated, he will be voted down," writes spokesman Per Bolund on Twitter.

Lööf: C will not contribute to giving SD power

The Center Party also repeats its previous message that they do not intend to contribute to SD gaining influence - and that they instead want to see collaborations in the middle, similar to the January agreement.

"We will not give the keys to Rosenbad to an xenophobic populist party," party leader Annie Lööf wrote on Instagram.

C-member Helena Lindahl has previously been raised as an uncertain card in an upcoming prime ministerial vote.

In 2019, she deviated from the party line and voted against the January agreement.

This time, however, she will follow the party's line, she states in an interview with SvD.

Dadgostar (V): Löfven is our candidate

Left-wing leader Nooshi Dadgostar has not commented on the president's statement.

But earlier in the day, she was clear that Stefan Löfven is the party's prime ministerial candidate.

“Our door is open for negotiations and agreements.

Now I hope for constructivity from S, MP and C ", she wrote on Instagram.

Even from the Social Democrats, it has been quiet since it became clear that Ulf Kristersson will be given a probation assignment.

But Löfven's message earlier today was that if he is re-elected, he will resign if the government does not get through the budget.

SVT has sought all parliamentary parties for comments after the Speaker's announcement.
