  At about 17:00 on June 25, local time, a knife wound occurred in the center of Würzburg, resulting in three deaths and seven injuries.

The attacker was a 24-year-old Somali man who applied for asylum in Germany.

  On the morning of the 28th local time, a 32-year-old male suspect attacked passers-by with a knife in Erfurt, injuring two people.

The suspect absconded after the attack. The local police dispatched helicopters and police dogs to conduct a large-scale search and arrested him at his residence in Erfurt.

  Up to now, the motives of the two cases are still under investigation.

Bavarian Interior Minister Hermann stated on the 28th that the motive of the suspect in the Würzburg knife attack is still unclear, and it is not yet possible to determine whether he committed the crime due to mental illness or was motivated by terrorism.

The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung quoted a statement from the local police in Erfurt, stating that the suspects who stabbed the two men in the area had a history of violent crimes and property theft in the past, as well as symptoms of mental illness.
