During the midsummer weekend, the police also deployed drones in the hunt for the stone throwers in addition to monitoring alternative roads.

Two incidents were controlled, but these were motorists who received ordinary stone shots.

- We have continued to work operationally between Malmö and Ystad along the E65 all weekend.

However, there has been no stone-throwing this weekend, says Ewa-Gun Westford to SVT Nyheter Skåne on Monday morning.

In recent days, however, there have been reports of stone-throwing that have taken place on previous occasions.

75 notifications

Since April, the police have received a total of 75 reports of stone-throwing against Danish motorists.

The police urge everyone who has been or thinks they have been subjected to stone-throwing to report it to the police.

- We call and talk to everyone who has made a report and we hold interviews with everyone.

It is much appreciated by the Danes, says Ewa-Gun Westford, and continues:

- Then, as always, we are also engaged in police work that we do not tell about to the outside world.

"Very serious"

It was not until a Danish commuter group went out and told about the events on social media that the Swedish police understood the extent of the stone-throwing.

- We take what has happened very seriously.

Do you know who is behind the stone-throwing?

- So far we are not in the investigation yet, says Ewa-Gun Westford, the police spokesperson.
