Regional: at the RN, a defeat that raises questions ten months before the presidential election

Marine Le Pen's party did not win any region in Sunday's regional elections, and is even declining everywhere, with strong abstentions among its voters.

Symbol of this evening to forget, the PACA region.

While the RN placed a lot of hope in it, its candidate Thierry Mariani finally bowed to LR Renaud Muselier.

Marine Le Pen failed to mobilize her voters 

Marine le Pen's call for the mobilization of her voters was therefore not enough.

The failure of the first round was verified in the second.

But Sunday evening, at the party headquarters, we refused to see any other explanation than that of abstention.

A "historic civic disaffection" deplored Marine le Pen in a very brief speech.

The presidential candidate turned quickly to 2022, and made an appointment with the French to "build the alternation that France needs". 

But this failure in the regions thwarts its dynamic, while Marine Le Pen had made these elections a stepping stone for 2022 ... Before, in recent days, wanting to decorrelate the two ballots.

This defeat also questions the strategy of the daughter of Jean-Marie Le Pen, and in particular the famous "demonization", or normalization of the party engaged for 10 years now, and which has already started to divide during the in-between rounds.

But someone close to Marine le Pen assures him: "We will not change the line".
