Leaders of Russia and China announced the extension of the Neighborliness Treaty

This was announced by the CGTN TV channel.

"The heads of the two states issued a joint statement, officially announcing the extension of the Russian-Chinese treaty on good-neighborliness, friendship and cooperation," the channel said. 

As the press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov said earlier, the dialogue between Putin and Xi Jinping will be held in the format of a videoconference over a special closed channel, which means "the highest secrecy of negotiations" and "special confidential" nature of the partnership between the countries.

Earlier, the Chinese authorities declared their confidence in the successful development of Russia.
