  On June 25, local time, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department arrested Masaru Sakurai, head of the Industrial Capital Division of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and Yutaro Arai, a staff member of the Industrial Organization Division, for fraudulently obtaining a subsidy of approximately 5.49 million yen.

  The Metropolitan Police Department believes that Sakurai used most of the money to pay for luxury goods and is investigating this.
