On the 28th, the city council passed a resolution calling for the removal of the shower room, with a majority in favor of the issue that the shower room was set up in the mayor's office of Ichikawa City Hall in Chiba Prefecture and has been criticized.

The city council passed a similar resolution in March, and this is the second time.

At Ichikawa City Hall, it was revealed in October last year that a shower room was installed in the toilet of the mayor's room at a construction cost of about 3.6 million yen, and the city council removed and installed the shower room in March. We passed a resolution requesting that the costs related to the removal and removal be reduced from the mayor's salary.

After that, at a press conference on the 1st of this month, Mayor Hirotami Murakoshi announced that the shower room would not be removed and would be used for the mayor himself and female staff in the event of a disaster. At the plenary session of the day, we submitted a resolution requesting the removal of the shower room and accountability to the mayor.

As a result of the subsequent vote, 28 out of 39 members of the Diet agreed, and the resolution was passed by a majority.

However, the resolution is not legally binding, and Mayor Murakoshi has not yet announced whether the shower room will be removed in the future.
