The incident occurred on April 17 this year when a 40-year-old woman is suspected of having been murdered in an open street in central Alvesta in front of several witnesses.

A 38-year-old man was arrested near the place where the woman was found and subsequently arrested on probable cause on suspicion of murder.

According to the indictment, the man allegedly hit, kicked and used a knife against the woman.

The violence was directed at the body and head and according to the forensic doctor's statement, she must have died of injuries to the neck.

The man has admitted that he handed out stab wounds and fist blows to the woman.

But no motive is yet known.

According to a minor forensic psychiatric examination in May, a so-called section 7 examination, it emerged that the man may have suffered from a serious mental disorder during the act, and also during the examination itself.
