• How the Green pass is obtained and how it works

June 21, 2021 There are five ways to obtain the Covid-19 green certification that in Italy can be requested to participate in public events, to access the nursing homes (Rsa) or other facilities, to move in and out of territories classified in ' red zone 'or' orange zone '.

While from 1 July it will be valid as an 'EU digital Covid certificate', i.e. the Green Pass that will make it easier to travel to and from all countries of the European Union and the Schengen area.

The certificate can be obtained through the dedicated national website (www.dgc.gov.it) but also with the Electronic Health Record and through the Io and Immuni apps. Those unfamiliar with digital tools can get help from general practitioners, pediatricians of free choice and pharmacies, using the health card.

The most convenient way to obtain the certificate is with the Io app, used by almost 12 million citizens and which has been recording new download peaks in the last few days. You do not need to do anything: just install the Io app - you must have the Spid or the Electronic Identity Card (Cie) - or update it and you will receive a notification when the certificate in our name is available.

Then there is the electronic health record path which can be accessed in the manner provided by the various Regions (in some, for example Lazio, it is necessary to have the SPID).

Instead, you need a code that certifies vaccination, healing or the result of a tampon to have the green certificate through the Immuni app and the dedicated national site (which can also be accessed via Spid / Cie).

The Immuni app, used by almost 11 million users, has just recently been updated by inserting a new section called 'EU Digital Covid Certificate'.

In Italy, the distribution of the code via text message or email started a few hours ago and at the moment not everyone has received it. In some cases, despite having received it, it is still not possible to complete the operation and obtain green certification. Probably because the Green Pass machine has just been started and within the next few days it should travel at full speed since the system will be operational from 1 July, that is the date decided by the EU to kick off the project that will allow EU citizens to move within the Union more easily and safely. On the official Italian website of the Green pass it is clarified that it will be necessary to wait until June 28 for all the certifications to be available for those entitled to it.
