"Ecology is the only dynamic force", welcomed Sunday the national secretary of EELV Julien Bayou, according to comments reported via the Twitter account of EELV.
Welcoming a "very encouraging" result to the regional, Mr. Bayou, who carried the union list of the left in Ile-de-France, second behind the right-wing list of Valérie Pécresse, was delighted that "the left and ecology (be) back "for the next elections.
"The environmentalists were the only ones able to federate", affirmed the EELV mayor of Grenoble Eric Piolle on BFMTV, estimating that the Greens have "now a responsibility to go and mobilize the abstainers.
"The RN takes a slap because it is trivialized," he said.
“It doesn't say anything about 2022 and the danger” that Marine Le Pen's party may represent.
The president of Generation Ecology, the former socialist minister Delphine Batho, meanwhile conceded "a major disappointment for environmentalists" which she attributes to "a lack of clarity" while the local candidates lacked "a campaign powerful national ".
