According to this survey, the first reason for the democratic mistrust of the French is that these elections will not change anything in their daily life.
Then comes a second explanation, that of the refusal to move in order to show his discontent against the political class.
Finally, a third reason comes into play: the fact that no list is suitable.
Outgoing presidents reappointed
But there is all the same an important paradox since last week, 64% of the people questioned declared themselves interested in these elections.
Except that when we look more closely, the four concerns of the French for their region were, in order, the fight against delinquency, immigration, unemployment and the environment.
These are all criteria which do not depend on the power of the regions, but on the State.

This finding is all the more surprising since when we asked the same people to describe the determining elements in the choice of vote, we first found regional issues and problems, and secondly the program of candidates.
Still, this Monday morning a certainty remains. The French who went to vote, they wanted to renew their outgoing presidents. As for those who shunned the ballot box, this abstention is just another illustration of the disconnection of politicians from the concerns of the French.
