Yahya al-Sinwar, head of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in the Gaza Strip, said that the meeting with Tor Wencesland, the United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, and his accompanying delegation was bad and not positive. Sinwar warned Israel against continuing to impose the siege on the Strip and blackmail the resistance and the Palestinian people .

Al-Sinwar said in press statements that the UN representatives were informed that Hamas will not accept the continuation of the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.

He added that the occupation is trying to blackmail the resistance and the Palestinian people, and it is continuing its policies against the Palestinian people and prisoners, and there are no signs of resolving the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

The head of Hamas in Gaza said that he will hold a meeting of the Palestinian factions in the coming hours to inform them of what happened in the meeting with the UN coordinator that took place in the Wencesland office in Gaza, and to take the appropriate decision to activate the popular resistance to pressure the occupation to alleviate the worsening humanitarian crisis experienced by the residents of the Strip.

Coordinator visit

Anatolia reported that the UN coordinator arrived in Gaza today, Monday, through the Beit Hanoun (Erez) checkpoint in the northern Gaza Strip, and the agency quoted an informed Palestinian source - who preferred not to be identified - that Wencesland arrived in Gaza to complete efforts to stabilize the ceasefire and ease the siege on Gaza.

Brother Abu Ibrahim, we trust you and your people are standing behind you. You were worthy of the trust in support of Jerusalem, and we count you as well in extracting the rights of your people in Gaza.

Al-Jazeera correspondent in Gaza, Wael al-Dahdouh, said that the meeting between Sinwar and the UN official did not produce any results related to the chronic issues of the residents of the Gaza Strip, which puts Hamas and the rest of the resistance factions in embarrassment before the Palestinian people.

The reporter added that there were hopes, after the end of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, a month ago, that the days and weeks that followed would carry good news regarding the life issues of the residents of Gaza, but these hopes have waned recently.

Al-Jazeera correspondent added that it is clear that Israel is procrastinating and maneuvering in order to pressure the resistance factions through the border crossings and life issues in order to appear as if it is in control of them.

ways to respond

The correspondent said that the factions will discuss during the meeting, which Sinwar spoke about, ways to respond to Israel's procrastination in paying the price of its war on the Gaza Strip, noting that the factions may take a gradual curve in putting pressure on Tel Aviv, by activating activities such as launching thermal balloons, firecrackers and bombs The sound and the resumption of the marches of return and breaking the siege.

On May 22, a ceasefire began between the Palestinian factions and Israel under Egyptian auspices, ending an 11-day military confrontation.

The factions demanded a complete lifting of the siege on Gaza and allow the reconstruction process, but Israel linked allowing reconstruction and returning 4 prisoners held by Hamas in Gaza, which the latter rejected, as it demands the conclusion of a prisoner exchange deal.

Last weekend, Israel launched raids on Hamas tracking sites, in response to what it said were the launching of incendiary balloons from the Strip.

Israeli incursion

In a related context, Israeli military vehicles penetrated this morning to a limited distance near the security fence in al-Fokhari area, east of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip. Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli bulldozers began razing and combing agricultural lands adjacent to the fence, in conjunction with the flight of reconnaissance planes over the area.

The mechanisms of the occupation army periodically penetrate near the security fence in the east and north of the Gaza Strip to carry out bulldozing operations, and to comb agricultural lands in the border areas.

On the other hand, the occupation authorities today allowed the export of agricultural products and clothing from the Gaza Strip for the first time in more than a month, through the Kerem Shalom commercial crossing in the southern Gaza Strip, and the Palestinian Civil Affairs Authority said that the occupation authorities also decided to re-enter and take out postal parcels to and from the Strip. It will also allow the return of Palestinians stranded abroad through the Beit Hanoun crossing.

On the other hand, the occupation authorities continue to impose strict restrictions on the entry of raw and primary materials that are used in various industries, as well as other restrictions on the area in which fishermen are allowed to work in the Gaza sea.
