The outgoing president of the Center-Val de Loire region François Bonneau (PS), who arrived this Sunday at the head of the first round of regional elections (24.81%), announced on Monday the merger of his PS-PCF list with that of EELV- LFI carried by Charles Fournier (10.85%).

“We are finalizing this agreement.

The written form is almost complete, ”explained François Bonneau, supporting his desire to renew the current regional majority.

"The balances of the first round will be found in the list that I will lead," said the socialist from his local in the Orleans countryside.

Common goals

"A little more than two thirds" of the list of the second round will therefore come from the PS-PCF training of the outgoing candidate, he insisted, a proportion confirmed by the EELV campaign team.

"A dynamic is taking place behind this balance of power," said François Bonneau.

François Bonneau also indicated his desire to take up two strong elements of the EELV-LFI program advanced in the first round, citing “the food of high school students, with 100% local products” and “a common objective of 30,000 housing units put into energy performance each. year ”.

Reconciliation on the right?

On the right and in the center, a possible reconciliation of the lists led by Nicolas Forissier (LR) and Marc Fesneau (MoDem-LREM) was not yet materialized at midday, told AFP the team of deputy LR of the Indre.

During the first round, Nicolas Forissier collected 18.82% of the vote, behind the candidate RN Aleksandar Nikolic (22.24%), but in front of the candidate of the presidential majority, the Minister of Relations with Parliament Marc Fesneau (16, 65%).
