There are still about 100 people from rescue services in addition to Kalmar County also Kronoberg, Blekinge, Jönköping County and the Gothenburg area who work with the extinguishing work in the one hundred hectare fire area.

On Sunday, five helicopters and also scooping planes helped put out the fire from the air, and on Monday, two helicopters will continue to work on water bombing the area.

- They will fight the larger areas inside the fire area to bomb water.

Then we expect not to have the helicopters tomorrow, says Magnus Klase.

Hope to reduce staffing tomorrow

The rescue service's hope is that tomorrow it will be possible to reduce staffing in the area.

- But these are large areas, even if large areas have burned off and look like a lunar landscape, we must ensure that it does not lie and burn in the ground to later flare up, says Magnus Klase.

Asks the public to pay attention

Magnus Klase also urges the public to be careful not to start more forest fires, and to pay attention if you smell the smell of fire smoke.

- We definitely do not want a forest fire here in these municipalities at present.

A lot of material is out and most stations are depleted of resources.

We have emergency resources but they are scarce.
