In Horndal, for example, people who have lived in the area for several years now have to move to other housing in northern Sweden, if they do not solve the housing situation on their own.

The decision to close the business in Dalarna has aroused many emotions and now some of the asylum seekers have decided not to move.

- We have to move to a camp and then our whole family of six people will share a small room and it does not work, says Setayesh who is one of the daughters in the Heidari family.

Must share kitchen and bathroom

The family has previously lived in what they call a "camp", a refugee camp, elsewhere in the country and does not think it works for several reasons.

If they move to the refugee camp in Boden, the whole family of six people will live in the same room and share a kitchen and bathroom with other residents.

Therefore, they have chosen to stay in Horndal, this despite the fact that they now risk becoming homeless soon as the current accommodation will soon be closed by the Swedish Migration Board.

- It is better to risk having to live on the street in Horndal than to have to move to a camp outside Boden, says Mehrdad Heidari.

"Do it for my children"

Adel Mohammadi and his family have also decided to stay in Horndal.

For him, that decision is mainly about his children.

- What should I do when they cry and do not want to move?

he says.

The Swedish Migration Agency: You must bear the costs yourself

According to the Swedish Migration Agency, an asylum seeker has the right to choose where to live, but you must bear the cost of housing yourself.

If you settle in areas that are classified as more vulnerable, you can lose your daily allowance.

Horndal is not classified as such an area.
