“The number of detections per day has reached 1.8 thousand people,” Interfax quotes her as saying.
She noted that this is an "absolute record" for the region in terms of the daily increase in detected cases of the disease.
According to the headquarters for combating COVID-19, a day earlier in the Moscow region, 1,638 cases of the disease were detected per day.
