A new wastewater monitoring project to investigate “Corona”

Dr. Fahad Al-Marzouqi, Chief Operating Officer of G42 Healthcare, revealed that G42 Healthcare is currently implementing, in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy, a wastewater monitoring laboratory project, to investigate the spread of the Corona virus by examining water samples. Sanitation”, pointing out that the agreement for the project was signed last May, and work is underway to prepare the building and laboratory for the project.

He explained that the laboratory uses artificial intelligence techniques in analyzing data and samples, as it will be able to detect chemical, physical and biological hazards, including infectious diseases, stressing that the laboratory provides an early warning system for potential pollutants that could negatively affect public health or the environment. In addition, it will support the concerned authorities to confront any threat that may arise.

Al-Marzouqi pointed out that the laboratory, which will be completed within 12 months, will focus on harmful pollutants, including radionuclides, biotoxins, pathogens, biological hazards, and high concentrations of industrial chemicals or illegal disposal.
