Emirati human rights activist Alaa Al-Siddiq passed away yesterday, Saturday, in Britain.
Alaa Al-Siddiq was the executive director of the ALQST Foundation for Human Rights concerned with prisoners of conscience in the Gulf.
With deep sadness ALQST mourns the sudden death of her loved and respected Executive Director Alaa Al-Siddiq @alaa_q on Saturday, June 19, 2021.

Activists said that Alaa died in a traffic accident in the capital, London.
Alaa has been active in defending her father, a detainee of conscience in the UAE prisons since 2012, and participated in several activities in which she exposed human rights violations in the UAE, forcing her to be exiled outside her country.
Tweeters across the Arab world expressed their condolences for Alaa's sudden death, sharing her writings and words in defense of human rights.

My friend and brave Human Rights Defender @alaa_q passed away after spending years defending her father unjustly imprisoned in the UAE.
