According to TASS, the diplomat drove into the territory of the Russian embassy in Washington in an official car.
Earlier it was reported that Aeroflot's SU100 flight, on which Antonov took off from Moscow, arrived in New York.
The ambassador left Sheremetyevo at about 09:20 Moscow time.
