The Sultanate closes all public places and commercial activities to confront “Corona”

The Supreme Committee charged with examining a mechanism for dealing with developments resulting from the spread of the new Corona virus decided to prevent the movement of individuals and vehicles, and to close all public places and commercial activities, while allowing home delivery, from eight in the evening until four in the morning, starting from the evening of June 20 until notice else.

The Omani News Agency (Oman) quoted the committee as saying that the closure came after studying reports related to the epidemiological situation of the Corona virus in the Sultanate, and the very large increase in the number of infections, the number of inpatients in the wards, and in the intensive care rooms, in addition to the number of deaths. Because of this dangerous disease.

The committee added that it also noted the unprecedented severe pressure on the health system in the Sultanate, to deal with cases associated with this disease, and to protect all members of society, citizens and residents.

The Supreme Committee confirmed that all health sector institutions, led by the Ministry of Health, are continuing to implement the national plan for immunization against Corona disease, according to the specific stages and target groups, and it calls on all those targeted to take the initiative to immunize, in order to protect themselves, members of their families and their community from infection with this disease.
