A motorist drove into spectators at a pride parade in the American town of Wilton Manors in the state of Florida on Saturday evening.
One of the victims has died, another is seriously injured.
Fort Lauderdale Mayor Dean Trantalis said the pickup truck driver was pretending to be part of the parade when he suddenly accelerated and slammed into the victims.
According to Trantalis, it was a deliberate terrorist attack on the LGBTI community.
However, local authorities are not sure.
The driver has been arrested.
According to witnesses, he would have said it was an accident.
Spectator Christina Currie told the
South Florida Sun Sentinel
, "Suddenly a truck came through the gates at high speed. It was absolutely intentional."
