June 19, 2021 Two life sentences and two other sentences of 27 years, 24 years and six months: this is what was decided by the III Court of Assizes of Rome in relation to the murder of Desireè Mariottini.



Mamadou Gara and Yussef Salia sentenced to the maximum sentence. A 27-year sentence was imposed on Alinno Chima instead. Sentenced to 24 years and 6 months Brian Minthe 24.



In the courtroom present the mother of Desiree, Barbara, who wore a white T-shirt with the photo of her daughter, accompanied by the family and friends of the young victim. After the sentence was read, a woman from the audience yelled 'damn you, may you burn in hell'.



The judges of the Third Court of Assizes of Rome entered the council chamber at around 2 pm to issue the sentence of the trial for the murder of Desiree Mariottini, the 16-year-old native of Cisterna di Latina, found lifeless on October 19, 2018 after being was abused in an abandoned building in via dei Lucani in the San Lorenzo district of the capital. At the bar Mamadou Gara, Brian Minteh, Alinno Chima, and Yusef Salia. The charges against them range, depending on the position, from voluntary murder, aggravated sexual violence and the transfer of drugs to minors.



Last December the prosecutors Maria Monteleone and Stefano Pizza asked for life imprisonment for all four defendants with daytime solitary confinement for one year.
