A seven-story apartment building collapses in China's Hunan province, killing three people and injuring seven others.

According to Jeunggeuk media such as Shin Shinbo, an apartment building collapsed in Lucheng County, Chenzhou City, Hunan Province, China around 12:40 pm on the 19th local time, and 12 out of 27 residents were isolated.

Of the 12 isolated people, 10 were taken to hospital, but 3 died and the remaining 7 are receiving treatment.

According to local media, an apartment building completely collapsed in this accident, reminiscent of an earthquake or bombing site.

The apartment was completed three years ago and was mainly used for rental.

At the time of the accident, it was known that the foundation for digging the site was in progress near the apartment, and the media raises the possibility that the accident occurred because the ground was weakened by the nearby construction.

The Hunan Provincial Government has issued an emergency immediately after the accident and is carrying out rescue operations by mobilizing more than 400 rescue teams, 80 rescue vehicles, and search dogs and heavy equipment.
