“Now we have a high infectivity of the SARS-CoV-2 strain, and compared to modern SARS, influenza and so on, the lethality is almost 100 times higher.
People need to invest in their heads: if you are not vaccinated and get sick with coronavirus, then you have a 1 in 30 chance of dying, ”the specialist explains.
He also assessed the chances of dying from the coronavirus of citizens vaccinated with domestic drugs based on data on old strains.
“Out of 100 vaccinated people, only three people will get sick when they come into contact with the coronavirus.
And none of these three vaccinated patients will die, ”Bolibok said.
According to him, these patients will not have a severe course of the disease, which can lead to death.
“That is, if you are vaccinated, you have a zero chance of dying from COVID,” the immunologist said.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said earlier that 19.7 million people were vaccinated in the country with the first component, 16.1 million citizens were vaccinated with both components.
In Moscow alone, almost 42 thousand people signed up for the coronavirus vaccine per day.
