Firefighters and police then rushed to the scene of the accident for rescue.
Witnesses said that the bus ran out of control when driving on a steep curve, then overturned and fell into a valley several hundred meters deep.

Peruvian media previously reported that the accident caused 15 deaths and 14 injuries.
