“In the Novorossiysk naval base of the Black Sea Fleet, a solemn ceremony was held to raise the Andreevsky flag and the admission to the fleet of the newest large hydrographic boat of project 23040G“ Vladimir Kozitsky, ”the Black Sea Fleet's information support department said.
In the near future, the crew of the boat will start working out course tasks.
It is noted that this boat is designed for high-precision area surveying of the bottom relief and survey of navigational hazards.
Earlier it became known that the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet - the guards missile cruiser Moskva - and the frigate Admiral Essen pass the Bosporus and Dardanelles straits.
