The calendar takes shape.

The "reunion agenda" that the Government has set in motion with Catalonia has

the lever

in granting pardons to the leaders of the

process

.

A decision that the Council of Ministers is expected to take this Tuesday, June 22, as the most likely date, keeping June 29 in the bedroom.

The dates are refined because government sources indicate that the Prime Minister will appear in Congress on June 30.

The pretext for the appearance in the Lower House, "at its own request", as they clarify from Moncloa, is to report on the Extraordinary European Council held on May 24 and 25 and the Ordinary European Council on June 24 and 25, 2021. However, the appointment will also serve to account for "the political and economic situation."

And there, in this last point, is where it is framed that the chief executive addresses the measure of grace that the Council of Ministers will have already decided. At first, parliamentary sources had placed Sánchez's appearance in the first week of July, pointing to July 7, but given the momentum that the Catalan agenda has taken for the Government, with an intense presence in this community and with the decision if the pardons are not delayed any longer, his presence in the Lower House is not delayed either and is one week ahead of what was initially expected.

The spokesperson for the PSOE parliamentary group,

Adriana Lastra

, had already guaranteed this week that the Government would explain the granting of this grace measure when the files are resolved, so that in the July information appearance on the European Union could also fit this issue, if by then the pardons are already processed, as expected.
