Increase in drug crimes in Eskilstuna: "Langas right open"

The corona pandemic and its restrictions have freed up more resources for the Eskilstuna police to work more specifically against drug crime.

- The restaurants have closed during the pandemic and events have been canceled, so we get significantly more time during the weekends to work against this type of crime, says Per Bergström.

Open drug trade

The goal is to reduce the open drug trade that takes place completely openly in certain residential areas, according to the police.

What do you need to do to stop the open drug trade?

- We must be out in the areas and show our presence and continue to receive tips so that we know where drugs are handled, says Bergström.
