Head of the Political Bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) Ismail Haniyeh said that Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque were exposed to many dangers as a result of the occupation's practices and policies.

During his meeting in Rabat, Haniyeh warned officials of the Beit Mal Al Quds Agency - affiliated with the Al-Quds Committee chaired by Morocco - of what he described as the demographic danger that seeks to empty Jerusalem of its residents, and the religious danger of preventing worshipers from reaching Al-Aqsa, as well as the settlers' efforts to occupy the largest number of the city's houses.

Haniyeh reviewed with the Agency's Director the efforts it is making, under the supervision of Moroccan King Mohammed VI, to support the steadfastness of the people of Jerusalem in the areas of housing, health and education.

Haniyeh arrived in Rabat last Wednesday on a first-of-its-kind visit to Morocco, at the invitation of the Justice and Development Party, the leader of the government coalition.
