The UN General Assembly on Friday, June 18 adopted a non-binding resolution condemning the coup d'état in Burma and calling on "

all member states to prevent the flow of arms

 " to this country.

A rare position that does not go so far as to call for a global embargo for this country.

plan

However, like all resolutions of the General Assembly, this one is in no way binding.

Earlier, Friday morning, the Security Council had been briefed, but still had not reached an agreement on a joint declaration.

China, an ally of Burma, blocks all possibilities.
