Banks in Russia signed agreements on preferential mortgages for more than 1.5 trillion rubles

This was stated by Russian leader Vladimir Putin as part of his speech at the XX Congress of the United Russia party, RIA Novosti reports.

“Banks have now concluded agreements for more than 1.5 trillion rubles, and taking into account the fact that the primary contribution is also being made, more than 2 trillion rubles will go to the construction industry, to housing construction,” he said.

Earlier, Putin proposed extending the preferential mortgage until July 1, 2022.

At the same time, the Accounts Chamber proposed to adjust the program by introducing a number of restrictions.
