Poland: unprecedented cyberattack shakes politicians

For the leader of the law and justice party (PiS) in power, Jaroslaw Kaczynski, the cyberattack which has affected political leaders of all ranks for several days aims to “ 

destabilize the country

 ”.

An attack orchestrated by Russia, according to him, a track that had already been suggested by the government in recent days. 

Since the announcement of the hacking of the private mailbox of Michal Dworchzyk, at the head of the Prime Minister's office, several exchanges, in particular with the head of government, have leaked on the Telegram messaging without their authenticity being certified.

Discussions on the Covid-19 pandemic, the relationship with Ukraine or even the use or not of the army to frame the major demonstrations in favor of the

right to abortion

last October. 

A week later, several questions remain: how many people have been hacked and who are they?

What types of documents were on these private mailboxes?

On Wednesday, Parliament met on this subject in a private session, which did not fail to be criticized by the liberal opposition, calling for it to be made public and accusing the Law and Justice party of wanting to conceal facts that compromising the government and breaking the rules, using private mailboxes for official exchanges.
